screenprinting final project.

Print: Bad Kitty! (or, in praise of my cat Jane.)

okay, technically she's by brother's cat, but still...who could resist so much naughtiness?

these are my first screenprints, designed in Illustrator and hand-printed by me! They are messy, but everyone has to start somewhere, right?

2010 UPDATE

wow, it's been a long time since i updated this site. Now it's more of a dump site for Portfolio pieces than a real blog, so don't get all frustrated looking for knowledge or anything. Just enjoy the pictures!

Cagey (or, when i went batshit crazy for two straight weeks)

Even though i like to work with digital media in my spare time, i do not consider myself to be a real digital artist. And i am definateley NOT a motion artist. So it was a challenge to create a video for my digital concepts class. But i pulled it off.

This video narration was written by me in a time when i was having a mental breakdown. It was my first year in a "real" college, and i was not keeping up. Combined with other factors, it triggered a period of intense anxiety and depression. So, I got a different dose of medicine, and you got this movie. It's not the greatest video ever made, but it gets the point across. I think.

Cool Stuff: Mysterious Stone from Mt. Vesuvius

What is it? I have no idea. It's some kind of silicon stone(i think), but other than that I have no clue! My brother brought it back for me from Italy, claiming it came from Mount Vesuvius. Did it?

Why is it cool? Look how freakin' sparkly it is! I mean, uh, it's aesthetic properties are quite pleasing. And if it did come from Mt. Vesuvius, then that's awesome. But if it isn't, that's still cool.

Where can I get one? I have no idea. I've seen stones like this one around, in museum shops where minerals are exhibited, but i can't for the life of me remember what they are called! Does anybody know?
